As the Director, Project Management at Paragon, you will be responsible for leading Paragon’s team of Project Management professionals, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects of cross functional teams. Your expertise in Project Management of Digital Strategy, Experience Design and Web Implementation engagements, along with your strong leadership skills, will make you successful in this role.

You will provide oversight for the team, serve as an escalation point, and implement / refine processes to manage timelines, budgets, scope, resourcing and progress reporting. Additionally, you will serve as the delivery lead for key, strategic accounts.

You have experience working at a digital agency.  You are a thought-leader that stays up to date on current technologies and best practices, and can drive continuous improvement within the delivery organization.

You are organized and are comfortable keeping multiple balls in the air.  You love problem-solving.  You have experience with project management tools and methodologies.  You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to adapt your approach when working with people from different disciplines (technology, creative, strategy and marketing).

Responsibilities:

In an internal-facing capacity, the Director, Project Management will:

  • Provide delivery oversight across the project portfolio ensuring all projects meet quality, client satisfaction and financial targets.
  • Manage project management team members as a coach, escalation point, and providing guidance to ensure all targets are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices within the delivery organization.
  • Partner with sales and account managers on business development and account growth through identification of opportunities, and developing/pitching project approaches, scopes and estimates.
  • Be accountable for meeting margin targets for all projects in the portfolio.
  • Communicate project status with internal stakeholders across departments.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality projects.
  • Manage project documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in growing the Project Management team by recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training new Project Managers.

In an external-facing capacity, the Project Manager will:

  • Lead engagements for a portfolio of key, strategic clients, managing project scope, budget and timeline, keeping the client informed of Paragon progress and status, and escalating risks and issues for awareness and resolution.
  • Manage relationships with clients and collaborate with stakeholders and business users to define and refine priorities, objectives and requirements.
  • Track and review project tasks with the delivery team via DevOps to ensure transparency in progress and identify any delays or blockers.

 

Qualifications:

  • You have ~10+ years in a Project/Program Management capacity in a consulting or digital agency setting.
  • You have ~7+ years of experience managing all phases of complex, digital projects, including strategy, design, build, and CMS implementations.
  • Experience leading the delivery of a portfolio of accounts.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, retaining and managing Project Management staff.
  • Mastery of Project Management principles, methods and techniques, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing delivery processes, and a desire to continuously improve those processes.
  • Experience presenting Delivery processes and approaches in pitches.
  • Demonstrated experience managing resources overseeing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional project teams within budgetary, resourcing and schedule constraints.
  • Adept with the context switching involved in splitting your time between managing the Project Management team and delivering on client work.
  • Ability to see and communicate the big picture across multiple projects, take complex issues and present them in a simple and easy to follow manner, and drive to decisions and results.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Meticulous verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and planning skills.
  • PMP Certification or Certified Scrum Master / Product Owner a plus.
