Paragon Consulting is looking for a full-time Senior, seasoned designer with demonstrated leadership to create design systems that solve short- and long-term CX strategy and UX design projects. If you have the curiosity of a researcher, vision of a strategist, and the intensity of a designer, then we’d like to talk with you.

Paragon Consulting, Inc. is located in Cleveland, Ohio.  This position does allow for someone to work remote on a full-time basis.

Design Responsibilities.

  • Plan and conduct user-centered design activities at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Translate research, business requirements, data, analytics, and client input into design concepts.
  • Synthesize research findings from user research and other data sources (market research, usability research, site analytics, and secondary research) into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Be a champion for users' needs from requirements gathering through solution definition.
  • Produce information architecture, interaction flows and user interface deliverables, including annotated wireframe mockups, functional prototypes, detailed visual design mockups, storyboards, flow diagrams, etc.
  • Prepare and participate in customer research and usability testing activities.
  • Participate in the full design and development cycle to ensure that creative innovations in user-centered design are faithfully delivered to our clients.
  • Prepare and conduct detailed and executive research presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Contribute to development of research practices, guides, methods and deliverables.

Strategy Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CX Strategists, CX Researchers, Visual Designers, and Developers to define and improve the customer experience.
  • Work directly with client project teams to facilitate design thinking, strategy, and road mapping workshops.
  • Collaborate and consult with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to translate rough ideas and opportunities into clear content strategies, information architectures, concept models, tangible prototypes, and elegant screen designs.
  • Be a champion for users' needs from requirements gathering through solution definition.
  • Elicit requirements and fully document design work products.
  • Participate in the full design and development cycle to ensure that creative innovations in user-centered design are faithfully delivered to our clients.

Qualifications.

  • Degree Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Visual Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years mobile-first & responsive deign, user-centered design, usability and digital technology 5+ preferred).
  • Fluency and competency in applying WCAG AA accessibility standards to designs.
  • Understanding of internationalization (i18) and localization (L10n) preferred.
  • Experience working with industry toolsets such as Axure, Adobe Suite, InVision, Miro, Sketch (some front-end fluency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript is preferred).
  • Expert at producing various design outputs including sketches, concepts, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, functional annotations, style tiles, and fully rendered visual design comps.
  • Has performed various HCI/IA tasks including personas card sorting, as well as customer task/flow diagraming.
  • Strong design facilitation skills leading project teams in participatory and collaborative design sessions.
  • Clear understanding of usability heuristics and experience performing real-time design evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex user (cognitive) problems through visual design, UX design, and usability expertise.
  • Demonstrated skill applying user-centered design practices, e.g., using ethnography data, user needs analysis, participatory design, end-user observation data, and usability testing data to influence design decisions.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and convey ideas to technical and business teams with passion and diplomacy.
